Sian and her dog Leroy visited us last Thursday to teach us about looking after our pets and being safe around dogs. Some students got to meet Leroy and practice the 4 steps of approaching a dog we don't know: Stop, Ask the owner, let the dog Smell you and Pat the dog's back, never the head. It was a fun and informative visit.
The students enjoyed a visit from Gillian from the Council to teach us all about Recycling. Students enjoyed the displays and showed a good understanding of the principles of recycling.
Year One enjoyed their excursion last week, visiting the museum, library and botanical gardens. A big thank you to the many parent helpers we had-they made the day extra enjoyable. Click on the photos below to make them larger.
As part of our History Unit students were required to research the history of a household item and present it on a poster. Students worked very well together and the final products were fantastic.
The weather was lovely for our walkathon last Friday. We all enjoyed the walk and the children sang Let It Play beautifully. Thank you to the parent helpers who came with us. It was a really nice day.
