We are lucky to have some Sporting Schools Funding to pay for some sessions with Mr West. We have been learning some new games and using some different equipment which has been lots of fun!

On Wednesday we made honey joys as part of our Paddock to Plate Science unit. Students learnt how corn flakes are made and where all the ingredients come from. It was very informative and lots of fun too! Not to mention how yummy they tasted!
1G's new classroom arrived on the back of 4 trucks last week. Hopefully they will be in it during this week and enjoying the air conditioning!
This week 1J did an experiment with yeast to see which conditions it worked best in. We also made some bread with and without yeast. The one with yeast was really yummy. These experiments are all part of our Science Unit, Paddock to Plate. After lunch, Monday-Thursday we run Maths Groups in 1J. Students rotate through 3 activities related to this week's topic. It is a great way to learn and practise our number skills.
This week we have been lucky to have visits from Isaac's pets, guinea pigs and blue tongue lizards. The children enjoyed interacting with them and learning about them. Thank you Heather, Emma and Briony for bringing them in.
