Scroll down on the thumbnails to see all the students in their great costumes. Thanks to everyone for putting in the effort and for those who came and watched the parade. We have all really enjoyed our musical week, learning to play some songs on the marimbas and echo-cellos. We hope you enjoyed the concert. Jon Madin is a clever man and the children really enjoyed working with him. I love the deep concentration on the faces of the students in these photos.
Every Wednesday morning we have literacy groups which includes writing with Mrs Jones, a phonological awareness or spelling game with Mrs A and a targeted literacy app on the iPads. It is a very fun and productive time.
1J were very busy last week for National Tree Day. We helped with planting and mulching around the new frog pond near our room. Have a look next time you come into school.
We had a fun day on Teddy Bear Day, doing relays, playing Teddy, Teddy, Bear and having fun on the playground.
Last week we cooked toast and muffins and cut them into halves, quarters and thirds. I was very impressed at their knowledge of fractions and it was the perfect activity for a cold day!
